Purchased 2011 Citadel at end of model year and found a great deal. Prior to driving this automobile, Dodge/Jeep were at the bottom of my wish list. The vehicle is loaded with options. I could not find anything even close in other large SUVs for the price. Great for family with kids and for parents not ready for a minivan. Plenty of room even for adults in the 2nd and 3rd row seating. Entertainment system is very worthwhile for people with children. Much more comfortable ride than similar large SUVs. Safety features are wonderful. Only downside is it is a bit slow in accellerating from a stop (V6 engine). Not so much of an issue between 50-70 mph. Handles very well in winter weather as well.

First off, I was only looking for a Ford Explorer, Dodge was not on my radar... we test drove several 3rd row suvs and I have always preferred fully loaded vehicles, I was after the room more than options and with a budget in the mid-20’s I realized quickly I couldn’t not have a larger suv and all my options... then I drove the Durango Citadel! My complaint with the explorer was the pick up, but no complaints with the dodge Hemi in this vehicle!!! It is absolutely the most fun vehicle I have ever owned!! Captain chairs with console, dvd system, safety features I won’t bother to mention them all! sunroof (that can actually be open on the interstate at 75mph without loud wind noise) unlike my Ford Edge, comfortable seats, heated and cooled!! I have never been a dodge fan but I’m absolutely in love with my Citadel! I would recommend test driving this Durango before purchasing any other suv if you are after a tough looking SUV that gets better gas mileage than a Tahoe and has the pickup of a charger and so many options I can’t list them all and my kids love the seating and dvd system AND did I mention the Beats Audio SYSTEM!!! This is an awesome SUV priced very fair and drives so smooth you will be sad when you reach your driveway!
